Flowers come in all different shapes and sizes -
kinda like the things that litter my dresser.
More specifically, the jewelery.

They could be bright and happy like the ones you'd give to a friend
who was sick in bed.
They could be dark and luscious like the ones for a lover
before proposing to be wed.
Or they could be dead...what? Just saying...
(they smell amazing when hung dry)

Their outer beauty holds strength, while the inside holds the part
that's the most vulnerable and soft.
So easily guarded.
But wait! that's not right! I mixed up my words.
The inside holds strength, which shows the true beauty
while the outside just looks pretty, but it's all just a fake.
(flowers are good pretenders, you know)

But, that's not right either. Well look at that...I know!
I started this whole thing wrong!
(though, I love the first stanza)
So, let's start all over.
From the top, like before:

Flowers come in all different shapes and sizes -
kinda like the things that litter my dresser.
More specifically, the jewelery.

And on my dresser, like flowers, the objects stay in their determined spots
until moved by someone for purposes soon shared.

You know, if you think about it, life's a lot like that -
we stay to our comfort zones, hiding our uses from the world,
but leave when something drives us - bringing out something hidden that's always there.
And in life, like my dresser which is sorta like those flowers,
that thing that drives us is what helps us grow
...or be useful (since things on my dresser can't grow)

I think I had a point there, but it died in the words -
kinda like the dead flowers
that add fragrance to the room.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't be afraid to move to your true colours.
Change is sweet, my little flowers
And people do it too.
So, last night when I should have been sleeping, I decided to bring out my abandoned poem book. And this was made.
It's different, I know, but I really like it.

Now, any smart people out there think they can figure out exactly what I'm trying to say?
Cookies for those who can guess the poet I thought about when writing this.
Hint: he's male. (oh, and once you find out who he is, my inspiration may still not make sense to you...but it does to me :3)

And, yeah, I'm trying to finish the list...I have a long way to go...o.O

Love it  especially the last line or two

Change is sweet, my little flowers
And people do it too.
